Students at Skyview High School are celebrating a major achievement after overcoming significant challenges on their path to graduation.

Seniors walked across the stage this week, many of them after facing academic and personal hurdles that once put a diploma out of reach. School leaders say the program provides dropout prevention and recovery support for at-risk students, giving them the structure and encouragement they need to finish strong.

The ceremony highlighted stories of resilience, second chances, and students who refused to give up.

Among them was valedictorian Kwanique Oliver, who reflected on what the moment meant after a long and difficult road.

“I’ve been through trials and tribulations through my whole life. I’m grateful to be the highest in the class, to graduate. I just feel good about myself. This is an amazing milestone. I’m grateful I was able to accomplish it.”

School leaders say the graduation celebrated not just diplomas but the power of persistence and community support.

Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates.
