Celebrating K-9 Ginger’s 3rd Birthday at Doral Park High School – NBC6 News
Doral Park High School recently celebrated a special milestone—the third birthday of Ginger, a K-9 officer with the Doral Police Department—during a community-focused event that brought together students, school staff, and local law enforcement.
The celebration gave students an opportunity to learn about the important role police K-9 units play in keeping the community safe. Officers shared insight into K-9 training, teamwork, and daily responsibilities, allowing students to engage with law enforcement in a positive and approachable setting.
Ginger is a familiar and friendly presence on the Doral Park campus, greeting students on most mornings as they arrive at school and helping create a welcoming start to the day. Celebrating her birthday alongside her handler highlighted the values of service, discipline, and dedication that are central to K-9 work.
School leaders expressed appreciation to the Doral Police Department for including Doral Park in the celebration and for their continued partnership. Events like this strengthen community connections and reinforce the shared commitment to student safety, engagement, and public service.
